Cupholder Installation Instructions

1. Most sportscars: find the best position in your car for the cupholder, keeping in mind your reach, handbrake location, and your passenger seat travel. Then punch* (with SHARP awl and hammer) or drill two to four holes through the carpet and tunnel for fastening the cupholder with the countersunk screws. Note that these screw holes become invisible if the cupholder is removed at some later date.

2. Mazda3 owners: remove the screw at the edge of the console and replace with the longer one provided. Optional: then punch* (with SHARP awl and hammer) or drill one or two more holes through the carpet and tunnel for additional screws. Note that these screw holes become invisible if the cupholder is removed at some later date.

* NOTE: Punching is the best technique, as drill bits tend to grab insulation under your carpet and ball it up!
